Abdullah Muntazir was an information secretary of the jihadi group Lashkar-e-Taiba based at the organisation's office in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. I interviewed him there on 25 January 2000. He sought to justify LeT's militancy in Kashmir, spoke about his own missions there as an armed militant and his family's jihadi background and their involvement in the tribal fighters' invasion of the Kashmir Valley in 1947-8.
