Geeta Mukherjee (1924-2000) was a longstanding MP for a West Bengal constituency and a member of the Communist Party of India. I met her in June 1992 at her home in Calcutta. She talks about the collapse of Soviet Communism, tensions within the Left Front government in West Bengal (in which the CPI was a junior member) - and, towards the end, about working underground as a communist early in her political career.
