Brian Bunting (1920-2008), a senior and longstanding member of the South African Communist Party, talking to Andrew Whitehead in Cape Town in October 1992. The interview covers the history of the South African party, of which Brian's father, Sidney Bunting, was a foundation member; his decision to join the party in 1940; and his election as a communist to the Western Cape Assembly in the early 1950s.
