Begum Aizaz Rasul (1909-2001) - her born name was Qudsia - talking at her home on Mall Road in Lucknow to Andrew Whitehead on 26 March 1997. The interview covers her upbringing and membership of the Muslim League, her role in India's Constituent Assembly and her reflections on Partition ('I think now it was a mistake').
I interviewed Begum Aizaz Rasul for a second time a few days later, on 31 March, in Delhi, when she reflected further about Partition, including its impact on the status of Urdu, and spoke about the Raja of Mahmudabad and his involvement in the Muslim League.
